Facilities and Fun at NQY Rocks
There's so much to do at this brand new Newquay Activity Centre in Cornwall.
With 17 Clip 'n Go climbing walls, with a range of unique challenges for all ages and abilities.
There is a four-storey soft play, which includes a dedicated toddler area.
Plus a Coffee Shop serving delicious refreshments to fuel the fun!
Before you Arrive
Please make sure that you check the age restrictions. Climbing is for ages 4 years and upwards. There are sessions for little climbers, which can be booked online.
Please make sure that socks are worn for the soft play.
For climbing, arrive 10-15 minutes before your session starts.
For both climbing and soft play, wear comfortable clothing suitable for climbing or active play.
Trainers or closed-toe shoes are recommended for climbing activities.
Age and Height Info
Clip 'n' Go Climbing is suitable for climbers aged 4 years and over.
No previous climbing experience is required.
We are pleased to offer Little Climbers sessions for 2-4yrs Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday at 9am.
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult where required.
All climbers will receive a safety briefing before their session.
Soft Play
Our four-storey soft play is designed for children aged 4 years and above.
There is a dedicated space for children aged 0-4 years.
Opening Times
NQY Rocks is currently open from 9am - 6pm. Please call to check up-to-date times, as these can vary. Or look at the booking slots available. It is open all year round.
Accessibility
NQY Rocks is designed to be welcoming and accessible for all visitors, with accessible parking, step-free access, accessible facilities, and comfortable seating areas throughout the centre. If you have any specific requirements, our team will be happy to assist before or during your visit.
Baby Changing and Feeding
There is a dedicated baby changing and feeding area.
Coming with a toddler? They can come and play with our fun interactive activity wall whilst you feed and change.

Safety
Your safety is our priority.
All climbing sessions include a safety briefing before you begin.
Fully trained instructors are on hand to support and supervise climbing activities.
No previous climbing experience is required.
Children using the facilities should be supervised by a responsible adult.
Spectators
Not everyone needs to be climbing to enjoy a visit to NQY Rocks. Parents, guardians and spectators are welcome to relax and watch the action from around the centre.
There is an upstairs viewing area, so that you can watch climbers take on the challenges.
Coffee Shop
Enjoy fresh sweet and savoury bite, as well as a range of soft drinks, matcha and barista made coffee at our Coffee Shop. Complete with viewing areas of the soft play and the Clip 'n Go climbing area.

Adventure Golf
Palm Beach Adventure Golf is our on site, 9 hole, golf course. Hendra and beach themed, this course is sure to keep everyone entertained with some friendly competition. Open from March until November.
Oasis Indoor Fun Pool
Have buckets of splashy fun at Oasis Indoor Fun Pool. With 3 flumes, and river rapids, Oasis Fun Pools is the largest indoor fun pool in Cornwall. There's also a toddler and baby pool and lots more. Open until the 20th of December 2026.
Play Areas
While you are on site, why not play outside? We have several outside play areas. Including a smaller park for 3 - 5 years, pirate ship for junior children, and Ninja Assault Course for ages 8 upwards. Plus a skate and scooter park.
Four Eateries
We have four onsite eateries. Open from the end of March until mid-November.
The Terrace Bar & Restaurant
The Terrace Bar and Restaurant is the place to go for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack. Right next to Oasis, with ample and ambient seating, you will certainly find something to satisfy your tastebuds here. There’s barista coffee, as well as a selection of hot drinks, cold drinks, beers, wines, and cocktails and mocktails.
Fish and Chip Shop
Our Fish and Chip shop is open in the evenings, from 5pm. There’s nothing better than a steaming box of fish and chips, with salt and vinegar. At our Fish and Chip Shop you can choose from a variety of meals, serving all your favourite British takeaway favourites.
Always Sundae
At Hendra, it always feels like Sunday Funday! This year we are excited to bring you our new Ice Cream shop, Always Sundae. Here you can enjoy a range of ice cream, all made in Cornwall on Roskilly’s farm. Enjoy a range of flavours in a cone, tub, or sundae!
The Beach House Bar and Restaurant
Eat in or takeaway a delicious pizza at The Beach House: Bar and Restaurant. There are a range of toppings to choose from, all made fresh to order. There are also classy cocktails and appetisers.

How many climbing walls are there at NQY Rocks?
There are 17 fun climbing walls for you to try! Take on the challenges and beat the timer! For an additional climb, you can book on the the Leap of Faith our most challenging climb. Climb to the top and jump off the platform!
Please note, for the Leap of Faith climbers must be at least 1.2m in height
What age can children start climbing?
Climbing is for ages 4 - 104 years old, with the exception of the Little Climbers Club for ages 0 - 4 years.
Our soft play is for ages 4 - 12 years plus there is a Toddler area of the soft play for ages 0 - 4 years.
What should I wear for climbing?
Please only wear close toes shoes, we recommend trainers. We also ask all climbers wear comfortable clothing suitable for climbing. Dresses/skirts & Hoodies are not be permitted. Please remove and watches or jewellery before climbing. Make sure long hair is tied up.
Can adults use the climbing walls?
Yes - our climbing walls are suitable for ages 4 - 104 !
How long is the session?
Soft play sessions are 90mins and clip and go climbing includes a 30 min safety briefing followed by a 55 min climb.
Is there a cafe?
Yes - we have an onsite coffee shop serving Cornish coffees, teas, matcha, Cornish Cakes and light bites.
Is NQY Rocks accessible?
Yes. There's a lift, as well as accessible toilets.
Do you do Quiet Sessions?
We currently have Quiet Sessions on Wednesday/Friday/Sunday at 9am. Please book online.
Can we use other facilities at Hendra Holiday Park whilst visiting?
Yes of course. Head over to the Oasis Website to book a swim session. Plus we have 4 on site eateries that you are welcome to use while visiting NQY Rocks. These are open until the 15th of November.
